Havannah and Three Hills Nature Reserve is sited on the former Hazlerigg Colliery. Its name comes from the Havannah drift mine and the three slag heaps that used to dominate the site. Havannah and Three Hills is designated as a Local Nature Reserve and a Site of Nature Conservation Interest.
The site is open at all times.
Havannah and Three Hills Nature Reserve lies between Hazlerigg Village and Dinnington Road.
There are no toilets at Havannah.
Local shops and pubs are located in Hazlerigg and Dinnington nearby.
Access around the reserve is generally good as much of the ground is fairly flat, but some paths may be muddy following wet weather.
