The site is open at all times.
The park is situated in Gosforth, to the north of the city. It lies close to Gosforth High Street and the Shopping Centre and is easily accessible by bus and by Metro. There are seven entrances.
The nearest public toilets are in the Shopping Centre.
The play area is very popular with families and young children. The equipment is for children under 14 years of age and includes swings, slides, and climbing multi-units suitable for different ages.
There are two hard courts for tennis and one for basketball. Tennis and basketball is free to all visitors.
The Gosforth Central Bowling Club uses the bowling green for matches and competitions. Non-members are welcome to use the green and hire bowls, at an hourly rate.
The Bulman Club is available for hire with a large hall, two smaller rooms and a fully equipped kitchen. It also offers a number of activities for Gosforth residents including whist, bingo, and coffee mornings.
There is good access with flat wide footpaths.

The nearest metro station is South Gosforth.
There is metered parking at the rooftop car park on Gosforth Shopping Centre and at the High Street car park between St Nicholas Avenue and Roseworth Terrace. Street parking on Moor Road North is very limited
The Friends of Gosforth Central Park
The Friends of Gosforth Central Park aim to encourage local residents to become involved in the maintenance and improvement of the park.
